What makes this event special is Goose Island's 2018 release of this unique stout is "SOLD OUT." Suprised? Well, because Bourbon County Stout is aged released and not mass-produced, each year the stout takes on unique characteristics during the fermentation process.
According to Goose Island, the Imperial Stout is crafted in Chicago and aged in bourbon barrels for 8-12 months. Each year, the changing weather produces a unique complex profile of bourbon, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, vanilla, caramel and wood in the Bourbon County Brand Stout.
